Madewell & Madewell, Inc. [“Madewell”] is conveniently located in Jones, Oklahoma (approximately 7.8 miles North of Interstate 40, 10 miles East of Interstate 35 and 3.5 miles West of the Kickapoo Turnpike) on a 100 plus acre facility. Madewell began business in 1953 as a partnership between brothers, Melvin “Hugh” Madewell and Billy J. Madewell. In 1973 Carmalieta Tate (now Carmalieta Wells) began work at Madewell while a junior at Jones High School working her way up to President in 2004. Carmalieta along with her classmate, Bill Dean, purchased Madewell from Melvin “Hugh” Madewell and Billy J. Madewell in 2004 and continue to operate Madewell to this date.
